If I was on a desert island and could have 5 things, what would they be? (Not including food and water)
If I were on a desert Island, I would need to make sure that I not only enjoy myself, but survive. I would start out by giving myself a house. I would give myself a house to provide myself with care during bad weather, or just a place to relax. The second object I would give myself would be clothing. This is obviously a given since it is essential to life. Now my final 3 things are what would help me enjoy myself while on the island. The first I would pick would be a full out water park; filled with many things including a pool, rope swing, water slide, and even a service company that serves you food! I may have gotten carried away there, as that may be a bit much for just one thing. My fourth thing would be an Xbox One with all my favorite games. I would use this when I am tired from the long day, and need some down time. The final thing that I would bring on the island might be the most important, it is "the friend teleporter". The friend "teleporter "would "teleport" my friends onto the island so we could all share the fun together. Overall, a life on this desert island with these things would be very enjoyable.
Football, the ultimate test of determination, sportsmanship, and teamwork. I love this sport. People make assumptions that to play football, you have to be big, strong, and tall. Well, I am none of those things. When I walk on to the field, I always think about how people say I cant do it, or I'll get crushed, and I use that as determination. I started football when I was in fourth grade, playing for my town team, The Lexington Bedford Hanscom Raiders. It was a great experience. Our team ended the year undefeated, 8-0, and I bonded with some new people that I didn't even know prior to the season. I loved being able to go out, and fight not only for myself, but for my teammates, my coaches, and my town or school. I played played for the Raiders in 4th and 5th grade, before leaving them for a year, and starting my Fenn football career in 6th grade. I played in 6th grade, but we had only one game, and although we won, I felt like I needed to play more games. I ended up playing for both the Raiders and Fenn in 7th grade, and I was able to play 9 games over the course of the year. Playing at Fenn compared to LBH (Lexington Bedford Hanscom), had some similarities, but it also had some differences. In town, I was playing in a weight protected league, so I was never truly the smallest kid on the field, and sometimes may have been even big compared to the kids I was playing with. At Fenn, you can be as big can be, so there were some bigger kids out there. Although the kids sizes were a little bit different, it was not like this new style was foreign for me, as I still wen out there with around the same intensity, pumped and ready to play. In eighth grade, I went away from town once again and decided to play for the Fenn Varsity team. Fenn Varsity was a good experience, and although we lost every game of the season, I was able to get myself acclimated to playing against some of the biggest kids I have ever played, and almost always being one of the smallest kids out on the field. Overall, football has almost always been my favorite sport, and nothing can motivate you more than going out and playing for someone besides yourself.
In this blog, I will be writing about some things that I am passionate about, and others that we will be writing about for English Class. Many of the topics that I will be writing about include sports, books, and many other things going on, in or around my life. While blogging, I believe that if I bring passion, hard work, and occasional humor, it will make this experience as successful as it can possibly be. Blogging is one of my strengths given that I am very good at taking thoughts in my head and translating them into a written format. I have some experience in blogging from 5th grade, although the blog was just for the grade to see and not the whole world. I believe that blogging is a great way to express yourself. I am excited to write on my blog, and comment on other people's blogs.
